Performing your writing!
Would you like to learn how to produce a reading event? Ós Pressan in cooperation with The Women‘s Story Circle (Reyjavík library and W.O.M.E.N in Iceland funded by the Ministry of Welfare) invites you to a work group meeting on how to organize a poetry/literature reading event and how to present your writing in public. The project is dedicated to empower women living in Iceland.
This time we’ll meet at IÐNÓ, next to the pond Tjörnin. We will use the theater stage and mics to practice in a friendly and easy environment, hang-out together, discuss writing&performing and plan together future events. Everyone is welcome to join. Please register at ewamarcinek@gmail.com

Performance art is a wonderful medium for telling your story through dramatic expression. A suitable venue, promotion, hosting and planning can make a reading event really special. We will work with the creation process from start to finish through producing and scripting a performance, planning how, when, and where to present your piece and we will assist you in actually going out and presenting. We will offer one two hours meeting where we teach and assist women in all areas of creating a reading event. Then as a group we will organize together 3 pop-up reading events, different in a form and style, fun and inspiring, promoting multilingual writing.
The work group will be open for an unlimited number of participants to register. If you might have any further questions you are free to enquire here: ewamarcinek@gmail.com
