Paradísarfuglar áfram / Birds of Paradise continues

Í listsmiðjunni eru þróaðar myndir og verk út frá hugmyndum tengdum fuglum, en þeir eru oft tákn um frelsi og frið. Helen Whitaker, tónlistarkona og sálgreinir, og Lilianne van Vorstenbosch, sálfræðingur og myndlistarkennari, leiða konur í sköpun sameiginlegs listaverks í rólegu og kærleiksríku umhverfi

Söguhringur kvenna býður öllum konum að taka þátt í sköpunarferlinu. Aðgangseyrir er enginn.

An art and music-based workshop for women to find a moment of calm and joy. We come together to create a collective artwork with birds as the central theme. The workshop is led by Helen Whitaker, counsellor and musician, and Lilianne van Vorstenbosch, psychologist and artist.

Life can be challenging. Sometimes we need a break and new focus. With musical exercises and simple visual art techniques we would like to encourage participants to be in the present moment, to find peace, calm and joy in a safe environment and with good company. With popular techniques like dot-painting, zentangle drawing, dry felting, collage and rhythmic song and sound we would like to create a new project with the theme birds. Immigrant women do not always have the opportunity to show their true potential. In images of birds we hope they can show their „true colours“ and „beautiful feathers“. We hope women will be excited to express themselves in music and art. All are welcome and no special abilities are required.

All women are welcome and no special abilities are required. No registration fee.
