What is peer support?

Peer support is a ‘helpline’ for women in need by women who may share similar experiences here in Iceland. This is a voluntary, confidential service offered by the members W.O.M.E.N. This service is free to all women of foreign origin.

New to Iceland? Need to know your rights as a woman, wife or mother in Iceland? Looking to meet new friends? Are you interested in learning more about W.O.M.E.N? Come by and see us!

Our volunteers are of all ages and nationalities and we offer supportive services in many languages including Icelandic, English, Polish, Lithuanian, Serbian,German, Thai, Malay  and Spanish.

Peer support takes place in our office on the 2nd floor of Túngata 14 every other Tuesday evening from 8:00 – 10:00 p.m. The languages offered each week are posted on our Facebook page and private group.
