Would you like to be a member of W.O.M.E.N in Iceland?
Members pay a yearly membership fee of 4.500 Icelandic krona which goes towards supporting our organization and the development of projects for women of foreign origin living in Iceland.
Members must be women of foreign origin living in Iceland. A woman of foreign origin is described in our bylaws as:
article 4. “Membership in W.O.M.E.N. is open to women of foreign descent who want to work according to the laws and policies of the association, residing in Iceland but regardless of their nationality. When speaking of ‘foreign descent’ we are referring to women who have one or both parents of a foreign origin independent of the woman’s birthplace.“
Written applications for membership shall be sent to the Board.
Membership includes:
- Pre-registration for workshops and events sponsored by W.O.M.E.N
- Newsletter
- Voting rights at the Annual General Meeting
- Members can volunteer ideas and proposals for projects to the board
- Members can run for open positions on the board at the Annual General Meeting
- Members will be invited to the W.O.M.E.N annual party
