W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland is an all-volunteer non-profit organisation with 1 part-time staff.
By becoming a member, you will support our advocacy work and projects.
It guarantees that W.O.M.E.N. in Iceland can continue to support women in Iceland.
Your membership dues go towards initiating and keeping projects going that support other women of foreign origin living in Icleand.
Membership also has its privileges…
Members must be women of foreign origin living in Iceland. A woman of foreign origin is described in our bylaws as:
article 4. “Membership in W.O.M.E.N. is open to women of foreign descent who want to work according to the laws and policies of the association, residing in Iceland but regardless of their nationality. When speaking of ‘foreign descent’ we are referring to women who have one or both parents of a foreign origin independent of the woman’s birthplace.“
Written applications for membership shall be sent to the Board.
