Dear W.O.M.E.N.,

Last week has been very eventful!

Our dear sisters from Finland, the Daisy Ladies, visited us. For the occasion, we invited different institutions to present their work in the fight against gender based violence in Iceland.

In the evening, our amazing volunteers showed their talent and offered food from all over the world for the first World Food Café of 2023!

Over the weekend, the Söguhringur kvenna presented their World Garden to the Daisy Ladies before we all went together to visit the president and first lady.

The new board learned a lot from these events. We hope that through our common project, the Nordic Ladies, we will be able to develop and increase our support for women of foreign origin throughout the Nordic countries! Stay tuned.

Söguhringur kvenna kynnti fyrir gestum okkar DaisyLadies Heimsgarðinn í Norræna húsið. Lilianne gaf þeim fræ frá NORDGEN. Við borðuðum og svo fórum í rútu! Við vorum 35 saman! Við skoðuðum forsetahúsið og svo hittum forsetahjónin, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson og Frú Eliza Reid, sem er mikilvæg fyrirmynd sem kona af erlendum uppruna. Takk kærlega fyrir!
